The Marks of a Healthy Church
(Acts 2:42-47)

I. A healthy church is marked by continual devotion to the Lord. (Acts 2:42)
A. Devotion to the teaching of the Word of God (Luke 24:27; 2 Timothy 4:1-4)
B. Devotion to corporate worship

  1. The Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:26)
  2. Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Philippians 4:6)
  3. Praise and joy (Colossians 3:1; Psalm 57:7)

II. A healthy church is marked by continual devotion to the Lord’s people. (Hebrews 10:25; Colossians 3:13)
A. To have fellowship, we must be genuinely saved. (Ephesians 2:8)
B. To have fellowship, we must be together. (Ephesians 4:3,13)
C. To have fellowship, we must share together in the things of God.
D. To have fellowship, we must share together in material things. (1 Timothy 6:18; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12; 2 Corinthians 8,9)

III. A healthy church is marked by continual devotion to God’s work in the world. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
