I. The Introduction (Acts 2:14:21)
A. In the last days, God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh. (Acts 2:17-18; 2 Peter 3:3-4; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
B. This outpouring of the Spirit will be followed by a time of terrible judgment. (Acts 2:19-20; Revelation 6:12)
C. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21)
II. The Message (Acts 2:22-36)
A. God authenticated Jesus as Lord and Christ through His miracles. (Acts 2:22; John 3:2,19)
B. God authenticated Jesus as Lord and Christ through His death. (Acts 2:23; John 10:17-18; Isaiah 53:10)
C. God authenticated Jesus as Lord and Christ through His Resurrection. (Acts 2:24-32; Psalm 16:8-11)
D. God authenticated Jesus as Lord and Christ through His exaltation and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:33-36; 4:11; Psalm 110:1)
III. The Response and Application (Acts 2:37-41)
A. The crowd responds with conviction. (Acts 2:37)
B. Peter applies the message: repentance, baptism, and promise. (Acts 2:38-40; Mark 1:4)
C. The result: 3,000 saved! (Acts 2:41)
