I. The Divine Plan (Genesis 1:26)

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”” (Genesis 1:26)

Created in the “image” of God means…
1. We are separate from the animals. (1 Corinthians 15:39; Genesis 2:7)

2. We are meant to know God personally. (John 1:12; Romans 8:14-17)

3. Every person has true worth and significance apart from their circumstances. (Genesis 9:6; James 3:9; Psalm 139:13-16)

4. We owe Him our lives. (Matthew 22:15-22; Colossians 1:16-17)
