Following Jesus

I. How must Jesus fulfill his mission? (Mark 8:31-33)

A. He must suffer many things, be killed, and rise again. (Mark 8:31; Revelation 13:8; 1 Peter 1:20; 3:18; John 10:30; Galatians 2:20-21)

II. How must we follow Jesus? (Mark 8:34-9:1)

A. You must deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Jesus. (Mark 8:34; John 14:15,23; 15:14)

B. If you deny yourself and follow Christ your life will be saved. (Mark 8:35-37; Philippians 3:8)

C. Christ will return in power and glory! (Mark 8:38; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 21:7)
