Three Signs of Thriving in Spiritual Maturity (James 1:26-27)

  1. Bridle your tongue! (James 1:26; 3:5-8; Matthew 15:18-19; Proverbs 16:1; 18:21; Romans 3:13; Colossians 4:6)
  2. Demonstrate compassion toward those who can’t repay us. (James 1:27; Exodus 22:22; Isaiah 1:17; Zechariah 7:10; Mark 12:40; 1 John 3:18)
  3. Keep yourself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 5:26)
