You Shall Call His Name Jesus: The Prophet, the Son of God (Deuteronomy 18:18-19)

I. I will raise up for them a Prophet like Moses. (Deuteronomy 18:18-19; John 5:46; 7:40; Acts 3:22)

1. The Prophet declares the true Word of God and is in fact the Word. (John 1:1; 6:63; Mark 13:31; Matthew 28:19-20; John 6:40)

2. The Prophet identifies the true human condition. (Mark 7:20-23; John 3:20; 8:32)

3. The Prophet predicts the true course of future events. (Luke 12:34; John 13:21-26; Matthew 20:17-19; Matthew 24:1-2; John 14:26)

II. Whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:19)
