Created in the Image of God: The Divine Pattern
(Genesis 1:26-28)

I. The Divine Plan
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”” (Genesis 1:26)

II. The Divine Pattern
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

1. We are uniquely created in the image of God. (Psalm 139:13-16; Ephesians 2:10)
2. We are created either male or female. (Genesis 1:27; 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Mark 10:6-8; Matthew 19:4-6)
3. We need to be restored by Christ. (Psalm 8:4-5; Romans 3:23; Colossians 3:9-10; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
