Abiding in Love

Abiding in Love
(1 John 3-4)

1.“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1)

2.“God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” (1 John 4:16)

3.“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)

A. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. (1 John 3:

B.“But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” (1 John 3:17)

4.“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.” (1 John 4:17-18)

A. “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.” (1 John 3:20)

B. “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)
