Abiding in Truth
(1 John 2:18-24; 4:1-6)

1. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18

A. It is the last hour. (2 Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24: 32-35;44

B. The Antichrist is coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, 9-10; Revelation 13)

C. Antichrists have come. (1 John 2:22)

2. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

A. Confession of Jesus Christ, the Son of God come in the flesh. (1 John 4:2)

B.  Acceptance of the teaching of the apostles. (1 John 4:6)

3. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

4. Therefore let truth abide in you. (1 John 2:24, Colossians 3:16)
