Credible Witnesses for Christianity
(Acts 1:12-26)

I. The apostles believed fully in Jesus as Lord. (Acts 1:21, 24; John 20:28-29; Luke 5:8)

II. The apostles were obedient to God and devoted themselves to prayer. (Acts 1:4, 14; Matthew 6:10; Philippians 1:27)

III. The apostles relied upon and trusted in the Scriptures. (Acts 1:16; Luke 24:44-45; Psalm 109:8)

IV. The apostles were genuine witnesses of the Lord Jesus. (Acts 1:21-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

V. The apostles submitted to God’s sovereign will. (Acts 1:21-26)
