The Sure Foundation of the Church
(Acts 1:1-11)

I. The Church must have a sure foundation. (Acts 1:3, 1 Corinthians 3:11)

A. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us a sure foundation. (Luke 24:36-45; 1 Corinthians 15:17)
B. Jesus’ teaching about His Kingdom gives us a sure foundation. (Mark 1:15; Acts 17:30-31; 19:8; 20:25)

II. The Church must have a sharp focus. (Acts 1:6-7; Mark 16:15)

III. The Church must have sufficient power. (Acts 1:8; Mark 1:8; John 14:17; Romans 8:9)

IV. The Church must have a sure hope. (Acts 1:9-11; Mark 16:19)
