Application:

The book of Mark conveys a sense of urgency in sharing the good news of Jesus. Do you have the same sense of urgency in your life in sharing the gospel with others?

John’s message is of repentance in preparation for Jesus. Are you daily turning away from sin, confessing your sin to God, and placing your faith in Jesus the Son of God?

Jesus considered John to be the greatest of all who had ever lived, yet John was not even worthy to untie Christ’s sandals. Do you recognize the absolute greatness of Jesus in your life? In what ways?
