Unwrapping Christmas: The Gift of Peace
(Luke 2:14)
1. Peace with God: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14)
2. Peace from God: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23a)
3. Peace with others: “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” (Romans 12:18)
4. Future peace: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6
